UK DEFRA: ground cover data optimisation for noise modelling
GIS consultant on DEFRA's "Environmental Noise Modelling Design and Build" project: best practice for processing detailed ground cover data across 90,000 km² of the UK. The proposed QGIS/PostGIS optimisation algorithm sped up processing by a factor of about 1,000.
